Dusk shows it's low blaze of glory. Fireflies twinkle all around, the only light beside the setting sun. The sun sets, the full moon rises. Stars come out one by one, each sparkling lovingly at the lone figure. A cream tinted fox disappears from view. Out to the woods comes the slender and petie form of a young woman. The moon shines down on her form with bright silver rays. For this is the lunarian goddess' only daughter, though the young one is still part mortal.

Walking though the grove she hesitates as she sees a creature the likes of which she has not encountered before. She drinks in this new creatures with an almost childlike fascination. Broad muscular shoulders, long dark cinnamon colored hair. This creature much larger then her own form. It turns, deep sea blue eyes meet her wide violet ones. Her eyes widen, what is this feeling? She had never felt like this before, as her heartbeat rises to a thunderous blare. How has she lived without his presence before, she can't seem to recall. Eyes still locked, neither looking away for fear of breaking the moment.

He looks at this beautiful nymph before him. With her lithe form, amethyst-jeweled eyes, ebony tresses flowing with delicate white blooms intertwined within. His reason for being here forgotten, inconsequential.

He moves first, slowly as to not frighten her away. She, as if in a trance, moves towards him. Now mere inches separate their bodies, and yet it still feels like they are miles apart.

A loud shout echoes though the glade where the stand.

The moment is broken.

He turns toward the source of the noise, she in his moment of distraction swerves and bolts.

As the source of the noise draws closer, he turns back to where his tantalizing angel had stood not moments before. All he could see was a cream tinted fox tail disappearing into the foliage.

"Hey, I'm paying you to look for that so called goddess' daughter. Not to be starin' off into nowheres. Let's gets movin', the trail she left goes off in the direction I came from. So lets get movin' already."

"Okay, I hear you. I'm coming, I'm coming. I just thought I saw something, that's all."

"It's just the damn will-o'-the-wisp this place is crawlin' with 'em. Damn things play tricks on your eyes. Blasted bothersome things, hate 'em. This place is givin' me the willies. Well let's move out now. Can't be letting her get away."

"A trick huh, hell, damn it was a good one. Almost believed it. She seemed so real, sure fooled me."

"What are you mumblin' 'bout back there. I told you already, move it!"

"Alright, if it will keep you from sounding like a broken record. Besides we can't keep the little lady waiting, can we?"
